One Man's Junk is Another Man's Chromebook?

I’ve decided that for the first post on this blog I’d go for something that has really been exciting me lately and that's this..

Turning our junk laptops into treasure, with ChromeOS and Neverware!

If you follow me on social media you will have seen my experiments with this lately and how great it has been turning out. Oh, and if you don’t follow me, you should because that’s where all the action is! Check out the contact page of this site for all my socials.

As I was deep in internet searches for Makerspace ideas I came across this as a way to utilize old hardware and decided to try it out. Using Neverware’s site I loaded a bunch of our 10 year old Dell laptops up and BAM we were running again saving time and money for our school. I'm definitely glad this was something that ended up on my radar and I’m glad to be able to share this with you all now.

I've included links needed to get you started as well as some direct links to tweets where I showcase some of the machines I got up and running.

Reach out on twitter if you give this a try and let me know how it goes!
